Firefox browser TWEAKS for Broadband/DSL internet connection

#1 Post by znarcv »

I'd like to share this tweaks that was taken from PC Magazines awhile back.

How to do the TWEAKS:

Open your FIREFOX browser and type "about:config" into the address bar and hit Enter. A large listing of the browser's internal configuration options will come up. Scroll down to change 3 important browser config options:

"network.http.pipelining" change from "FALSE" to "TRUE" by double clicking
"network.http.proxy.pipelining" change from "FALSE" to "TRUE"
"network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" change from "4" to "30"

After changing the 3 browser config options then you've just upgraded FIREFOX to a new browsing speed.

I did it and made a big difference in SPEEEED....TRY IT FOR YOURSELF ****

Guys, please don't do that. It's not a considerate thing to do. You hit the website server with many requests instead of just one. Some of Puppylinux's servers have had problems because they went over their limit of hits, and doing that certainly won't help.
