How to set desktop color for scaled background picture

#1 Post by Frank Dodd »

Just a quick tip on something that took me ages to find and for which I couldn't find an answer in the forum.

I usually change my backdrop picture each day out of my extensive picture gallery and couldn't find out how to change the background color on the desktop when the picture didn't match the aspect ratio of the screen.

I finally found it more by luck that anything else as a part of the Rox filer options under the pinboard settings.

Open up Rox Filer window, right click on it and select options then select pinboard and there you can change your desktop background color.

Great work on Puppy Linux, I now use it as my portable computer on a CD, much more convenient than lugging about a laptop :)

Your advice was perfect. It took me a few minutes but I got it to work. I went to the Pinboard->Appearance->Background->(selected the color I wanted)->Ok.
