fast puppy with cool interface?

#1 Post by RicKills »

Hi, I am looking for a flavor of puppy that has just the right blend of speed and eyecandy. I will be installing It on a p3 500mhz with a 4mb ati card and 512 mb of ram. I will do a full install and the computer will mostly be used for web browsing.

I was looking at teenpup and lighthouse pup, but I don't know how fast they would run on such old hardware.

what do you think?

MacPup Foxy - personalized configuration is easy on E17.
The KDE SFS in Light House Pup is nice if your system handles it plus LHPup has multiple window managers to try.

I'd go for ttuuxxx and his updated 2.14.

A hell of a lot of testing and numerous releases.

Around 120 megs???
Plus many here ( not me ) have helped him out so answers back
should be quick.

Plus ttuuxxx is Mr Super Helpful....
and that's not a smartie comment.
Quite often he has done a one off fix for someone in double quick time..
