Test xf86_svga-3.3.6 X server

There's a PupGet package called "xf86_svga-3.3.6", which is an X server designed for older Super-VGA video chips.
Specifically these:

But, I don't know if this X server has ever been tested in Puppy.
Does anyone have an older PC, before 2000, with one of these chips?

If so, could you try this package?

Presuming that you can get X running, use PupGet to download and install it, then I think it will just be a matter of exiting from X (from the Start -> Shutdown -> Exit to prompt), then type xwin to restart X.

X should auto-detect the chip.
Note, the package also has some utility programs:
xf86config and xvidtune, but they should not be necessary to get it going.

I thought I would give it a go as I have a Voodoo 3 PCI card

so pupgetted
moved to x and when I tried to xwin could not
oops

I was not sure of what to do
So after cd ing to various directories
with no real idea what to modify or alter
I booted up with option 2
renamed my pup001

and returned here
- sorry of no help

but at least I have a brand new Pup

Tried, std config no good, ran xf86config still has same error, messed around but still no luck :cry:
