I am running Puppy Linux 4.3. I have successfuly connected to friends' networks in the UK at three locations. I am now visiting a friend in France and cannot. When I scan for available networks Puppy says there are none even though I know there are six. I successfully connect from this machine using Windows 7 and Ubuntu 9.10. Any help will be much appreciated.
Thankyou

I got further thankyou but not all the way. I used pwireless, It gave me a list of 8. I said connect to the WEP service I wanted. I gave it the key (I have tried upper and lower case). It then went to dhcpcd and came back with an IP address and I said OK. Then I brought up Seamonkey but it wouldn't go to my home page.
When I went through the same procedure and tried to connect to an Open network, I was successful. Though it didn't get my homepage, I did get the access portal of the free Wifi service.
I'm afraid I'll be leaving here shortly so I won't be able to try again.
Thanks for the help.
