I bought one for a new puppy box to give my a web browsing tv but when it arrived I discover logitech now make their cordless desktops with just one usb plug!

Oh well thought I, I'll try it.

it doesn't work, the keyboard does nothing, and the mouse only skitters up and down (the wheel sometimes makes it move right!)

anyone have any idea how to get it working?

Have similar problem attempting dual control with laptop's built-in PS/2 devices and Logitech cordless desktop. You may find other posts describing similar probs.

Seems it should be possible. You may need to use PS/2 devices to get the other up and running.
