I'm using Puppy 4.0, and I'm happy with CUPS which detected and my printer, Epson C45 finally works flawlessly. But I have a problem - the printer was not used for quite a long time (around 1 months), so the head are dirty (print results are unclear).

How to clean the print head on Puppy Linux?

On many ink-jet printers, you can start a head cleaning by pressing (and holding) some combination of buttons when you power up.

Epson C45 doesn't have the keys to clean the head. My old HP does have it, and cleaning was so easy even if the PC is off.

I couldn't find it on CUPS administration page - is there any other solutions?

You may have a program installed called "escputil" that does maintenance on Epson printers. Type:
Code:
escputil -h
for instructions on how to do a print head cleaning.

Is there any equivalent software like escputil for Canon printers?
