Puplets - Where the Heck are they?

#1 Post by cthisbear »

Can we please get someone to put the Puplets link back.

The main page has changed again right on Puppy 4.3 release.
Brilliant timing.

So I search.
"Apologies to regular users - the other pages of puppylinux.org will
be inaccessible for a week starting 18 September 2009.
Please use the search URL given above to locate the download site
of your favorite puplet or screenshot. For help with a manual,
see the English Manual for now.'

"""""""
Puplets should be at the top of the homepage.

And all of them listed...not 8 like here.

Sorry but this starts to piss me off.
Co-ordination would be a fresh out the box Puppy experience.

Time and effort to develop, test , upload and advertise these
efforts and then magically it's all stuffed up.

""""""""""
More searches.

Trying to do a search for Puplets is pure frustration.
Can we please put Humpty Dumpty back together.

And while I'm still cheesed off.
Why can't we have all the Puppy reviews popped into one place?

Chris.

What!...not one reply.

Mars calling Earth.

Or is it a Lost In Space moment.

Certainly a lost cause moment.

To be honest, I hadn't visited puppylinux.org in quite a while. I agree with you, there needs to be a prominent link to the puplets on the main page.

All of the variations available in the puplets is a drawing card for Puppy..........don't need to hide them away.

Thanks for reviving the puplets page in the wikka wiki, Lobster.

Puplet authors, please make sure that your puplet is listed there.

If I may suggest, puplets should link directly to their own home (or download) page so that when the Drupal CMS at puppylinux.org is taken down (yes, it is taken down or gets corrupted occasionally), then the puplet can still be found through search.

Thanks as always to Lobster and raffy .

Sometimes you have to make a squawk to get
some attention paid to an obvious deficiency.

Regards ...Chris.
