Looks like you've managed to break the CPU freq. scaling tool, ttuuxxx :D
All I get is the app window that does nothing, no matter what I click or enter in.. (pic attached below)

Since there is a report in the "bugs" section of problems with cpu frequency scaling in the official 430 release, not sure if it can be blamed on Ttuuxxx. :)

He'll probably fix it anyway.............

@ttuuxxx: The classic white cursor theme is less than 6 KB (!) compressed.

Here's a slimmed down tar.gz package:

http://stashbox.org/636386/white.tar.gz

just extract the folder to ~/.icons and that's it :)

I know its a stoopid little thing Ttuuxxx and dead easy to configure if one has half an idea how to set up Puppy, but after using Dpup, I ask, is there really any other place for the screen capture launcher other than the bottom tray? Of course not! :)

The problem with cpu freq scaling tool is actually that it reports with gxmessage which doesn't exist in this pupplets. I already reported, and ttuuxxx will include gxmessage

I tried it but cannot connect via my nic card, I have two cards in this pc
Neither module is loaded or can be loaded.

One uses the tulip module the other the via-rhine

Have not tried the standard 4.3 but I will.

Any suggestions or more info needed?

Craig

Try the 4.3 final small iso, it has tulip and via modules listed.

Some of Ttuuxxxs' recent experiments seem a bit short in the

module department......only about a dozen listed in boot

manager of 220, compared to about a hundred in a regular

pup.

Inspiron 700m, Pent.M 1.6Ghz, 1Gb ram.
Msi Wind U100, N270 1.6>2.0Ghz, 1.5Gb ram.
Eeepc 8g 701, 900Mhz, 1Gb ram.
Full installs

Hi I had a look and I think the module you need is included
/lib/modules/2.6.30.5/kernel/drivers/net/via-rhine.ko
also did you open a terminal and type
depmod -a
usually that works.

Haven't touched anything in 4.31 other than the actual removal of the broken modules so it isn't that.
As for 2.20 I didn't touch any of the modules or bootmanager, thats just the way it was, still only the first alpha release so give it a bit of time to mature.

I've been thinking about it, It might be related to some of the missing bin files, when I swapped X-servers there were at least 10 missing bin files, In /usr/X11R7/bin, which the next release already has, and also 2.20 would have that same issue, that I'll have to fix for 2.20alpha2 :)

Any projection on when 4.31.1 might go up Ttuuxxx?

Well I started putting it together and then noticed the new bugs on the main 4.30 bug section about the remaster and frugal scripts, hmmm it would be nice to have them fixed before, but I'll think about it.
I would say If I overlook those 2 bugs maybe in about 2hrs or so it should be uploaded.

Now I would not normally post this but the pup-430 pup_430 thing might be a little brain fade on the part of our illustrious leader. Surely, up to now, the convention has always been pup(underscore)***.sfs? :) :)

Well he was naming the iso's like pup-424.iso etc and then the pup_424.sfs in the iso, I wonder if its the woof build script, or just a typo.
I'm wondering If I rename the pup-430.sfs to pup_430.sfs like it should be, would it still boot? And if so would that put a end to all the issues?
