AGAIN !...[insert] key kills Seamonkey... |
|
Hi,
on ppa-422.iso
Aargh !! ...while writing a post in this forum, accidentaly pressed "0" numeric pad while "Num Lock" disabled, i.e. it means "Ins" pressed)...and Seamonkey got killed at once.
(Already reported earlier in this forum...Pizzasgood fixed this throug writing a gtk+-12-input.pet and related pets for correcting this)
see

cheers

Charlie,
What if everything you say is accurate? Which it might very well be.
To my way of thinking, it doesn't and wouldn't make an ounce of difference at all.
Unless Pizzasgood's package was incorporated into the Puppy you are using.
Based on what you wrote, I bet a quarter it wasn't. And if not I suppose you will have to run his pet again.
Whatcha think?
Bruce

It happened to me in 4.3 beta 1. I installed all 4 .pets from Pizzasgood's post linked to in charlie6's post above. Will see if they fix the problem.

I have just deleted a post on a forum I was working on for 20 minutes with 1 button!
This is happening in 4.3 as well.
The most irritating part is that it happened to me before... so I am blaming myself.
Can I use pizzasgood solution also for 4.3?

I don't know. I don't think it should hurt anything. Just make a backup first, because it's the sort of package that isn't very safe to uninstall.
But how about a better solution: Upgrade to 4.3.1, which according to Barry's Blog already has it fixed.
