Start at http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=33057... actually, first try the .pet package in the thread someone there linked to.
But I'm not sure - someone may need to build it again specifically for the M1005.
Do you know a good gtkdialog program? Please post a link here

Hmmm .....

For basic printing to hp m1005 mfp, this should work :

Full foo2xxx (zjs/xqx/slx/oak/hp/bla/bla/etc/etc) package (11MB)

As usual, absolutely zero warranty/support whatsoever ...

I've tested on puppy 412 and found no problems installing the pet.

Install notes:
1. Make sure you have enough free space (45MB should be enough) in your save file if frugal. You can delete the extra stuffs later.
2. Do not install the pet file from a FAT32 partition. Copy the pet file into /tmp first or any ext2 partition before installing.
3. If you have enough ram (maybe 256MB) then try running from ram
