ok now I done with that theme, lol I wasn't happy with the left hand side of the main gui, the thing is, its has hidden buttons that most never use, But I managed to extend and merge, anyways I'm really happy with this theme now Smile

And if you want to compare all 3, the first 2 is the ones I used to blend the 3rd one together, plus a few custom graphics, It feels pretty good to do something like that when your finally finish it. Smile

Hi gposil, if your changing the default theme in bmp, make sure you delete all from the /usr/share/Default/ directory contents and replace it with the contents of the theme, also just do a double check and make sure there isn't a /root/.bmp hidden folder in the package that could contain some hidden configure files, Bmp places screenshots of the main gui in there for when you click /preferences and you see the skin images.
Funny I didn't know they kept images for default players there, I figured that it wasn't changing the default image due to the image was hard coded or something, lol I spent hours sorting through the code looking for a coded image, and all along when I delete root/.bmp it then finally showed the default the newer actual default image Smile

I like the Deafult Theme you're making ttuuxxx.

A question for any reader of this thread, Someone could load SFS files just clicking on them?. I tried the sfs that ttuuxxx pointed before for Puppy 2 series and I'm getting a loading message error Crying or Very sad .

I still have some problems using SeaMonkey, for test it you shall do a long search, for example, search inside files for an especific content. Also each time I run SeaMoneky, the Xorg.log file in /tmp/ shows some GTK errors from SeaMonkey.

thanks for the information you could provide.

Hi clarf as sfs files go, it really depends on the series of sfs being used, they don't use legacy versions, like upup/dpup uses sfs series 4, and those sfs files won't work on series 4 puppy because that uses sfs 3 series, but what you can do is go to a series 4 puppy and grab this file /usr/bin/unsquashfs
now drag that to say a usb stick and rename it to series4sfs
now reboot with 2.14X and copy it to root, finally drag/copy a series 4 sfs to root and then drop it on top of series4sfs you renamed, it should make a new folder in root called squashfs-root that folder has all the files/directories with r/w, so then you can make a pet of it.
below is one from series 4, just extract it and drop a series a series 4 sfs on top of the file Smile Then all you do is rename the directory and make a pet out of it, dir2pet name-of-directory eg
dir2pet /root/OpenOffice

As Seamonkey goes, I'll recompile it when we are near the end of the this series revamp. Smile just that it takes so long and its being updated so much, plus FF works great and auto updates, would be nice if Seamonkey acted the way that Firefox does.

Can the digital clock color be user changed? Neon green is kind of ??? Bright? Does look like fun to play with. OF course I could ask for ... move mouse over and get the Puppy Version displayed Smile.

Speaking of fun.. can the games.. bubblet and gems be ported to version 4? Terrible time wasters, but fun. Since you are inside the aquarium..can you tell how it was created.. different small items or simply different png or jpg frames? Always been curious.

davesurrey, Trust your mother feels better!

Well I'm on 4 series and have the Gem & Bubbles game working Smile
here's the package,
Now What was the other thing I had to do on series 4, hmmmmm

Hi tuuxxx,

still trying to get sound to work.

I deleted my original install and started again with a fresh install.

Nothing has been changed it's just as installed. There is no sound and trying to load music list into bmp produced garbage in display. (see pic)

Any ideas ?

Soundcard is reported as HDA-Intel
Motherboard is IBM Lenovo

Loaded one of the tunes from the dir to gxine and it shows playing and reports title OK but with no sound. So why BMP has gobbledegook in list I don't know?
