Wie wat- da ist man Mal drei Wochen wech und schon wird hier schlappgemacht?

Nach zwei schönen Törnwochen in der Türkei bin ich nu wieder mit von der Partie. Werde mir erst mal ne ordentliche Puppykiste zusammenstöpseln. Mein alter Laptop ist als Entwicklungsumgebung einfach zu lahm (250 MHz).

Basis wird denke ich das aktuelle Puppy werden (4.2.1 ?).
Wie ist der momentane stand von woof- ist das schon aus der Alphaphase raus?
Sorry, aber mir fehlen grade drei Wochen Surfen- da dauerts etwas bis man wieder auf dem aktuellen Stand ist.

Hallo Christian, willkommen zurück :)

Ich kann momentan leider nicht weiter beisteuern.

Der Job schlaucht ziemlich, bzw. die Fahrerei dazu.
Viele Meetings, Migration der Server Infrastruktur.
Bin täglich etwa 12 Stunden unterwegs, das Wochenende brauche ich dann zum regenerieren/ausspannen - d.h. keine Entwicklung/Paketierung usw.

Puha, viel Glück mit dem neuen Job. Bin mal gespannt wie lange mein "Erholtsein" nach dem Urlaub anhält. Normalerweise hat's immer wenigstens einen vollen Tag angehalten- LOL.
Wenn mein Computer fertig ist dann werde ich wohl auch selber compilieren können- wir werden sehen.

Ich habe inzwischen nicht viel erreicht, aber zumindest mal ein Alpha-Stadium.

Da das kompilieren hier nicht funzt, ist ohne Hilfe von "aussen" nicht mehr viel Fortschritt drin.

Zunächst stelle ich ein iso des aktuellen Standes irgendwo online. Daran müsste jusb (!) und zygrib eingebaut werden (ohne jusb sind GPS am USB für Mariner nicht sichtbar).

Dann hätten wir zumindest eine Beta-version.

Aber irgendwie ist das iso und die Zusammenstellung hier auf meinem PC ganz anders. Einiges scheint nicht mit aufs iso gekommen zu sein.

z.B. die ganzen Wine -sachen und anderes...

Seaclear unter WINE läuft (mit GPS-Krücken)

Hallo ihr alle!

Um Seaclear unter Wine zum Laufen zu bringen, musste ich es einfach installieren. Mein Problem dabei war allerdings die Sache mit dem com-Port. Es funktioniert jetzt zwar, aber ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob das die optimale Lösung ist (und ich hoffe, dass ich diese hier im Beitrag nicht übersehen habe).

Also. Außer Seaclear musste ich dazu eigentlich nur noch das gpsd-2.39-i486.pet von MU installieren.

Nach dem Anstecken meiner USB-GPS-Maus (Navilock 302U) suche ich zuerst das richtige Device:
# dmesg | grep usb

und erhalte folgende Meldung

usb 1-8: pl2303 converter now attached to ttyUSB0

das richtige Device ist also /dev/usb/ttyUSB0
(Achtung: nicht /dev/ttyUSB0 !!!)

jetzt starte ich den gpsd:
# gpsd /dev/usb/ttyUSB0

dann setze ich folgenden Symlink für WINE:
# ln -s /dev/usb/ttyUSB0 /root/.wine/dosdevices/com1

und jetzt kommt das Entscheidende, ohne das nichts funktioniert:
# gpspipe -r -s /dev/usb/ttyUSB0
(die Konsole muss offen bleiben)

Voila. Seaclear bekommt jetzt plötzlich GPS-Daten.

TangoGPS - Probleme ohne die Entwicklungsumgebung (devx)

Hallo!

Ich habe TangoGPS installiert, leider jedoch mit Schwierigkeiten. Es funktioniert nur, wenn man die Entwicklungsumgebung (devx) in Puppy eingebunden hat (getestet unter 4.21).
Dazu habe ich die Pakete von Debian heruntergeladen (http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages) und in pet-Packages umgewandelt (nach Installation von deb2pet.rpm2pet-0.0.4.pet).

Es sind viele zusätzliche Libraries erforderlich. Hier eine Liste der Pakete:

Wenn man die Pakete im "normalen Puppy", also ohne devx-Umgebung, installiert, dann funktioniert TangoGPS nicht, sondern führt zu einem "segmentation fault".

Hat irgendjemand eine Idee, woran das liegen kann?

EDIT: Wenn man Puppy 4.21 mit dem Retro-Kernel (2.6.21.7) verwendet, funktioniert TangoGPS auch ohne devx-Umgebung. Eigenartig.

wie angekündigt habe ich nochmal versucht die Version auf meinem PC als live-CD zu brennen (iso).

Dabei kommen einige Dateien nicht mit!

Unter /root/ fehlen wohl einige. Wichtig wären .mariner und . wine.

Beide nicht (mehr) da nach dem iso-erzeugen. Und einige mehr. Scheinbar werden nur diejenigen Ordner unter /root mitgenommen, die von Linux-Programmen bei der Installation dort angelegt wurden. Oder werden die Ordner wie zB. .gftp usw beim booten neu dort angelegt?

Ebenso scheint sich das neue iso auch wenig um Desktop-Einstellungen usw. zu interessieren. Geschweige denn für Dateien die dort liegen (sollen).

Da das ja nicht nur für den jetzt gewünschten Zwischenstand, sondern auch für das Endprodukt wichtig wäre, würde ich gerne verstehen was beim remastern da passiert. Oder wie ich die /root-dateien mit rüber bringe.
Ein 1zu1 Abbild ist das ja offensichtlich nicht.

Das Problem, dass ".mariner" und ".wine" fehlen, kannst Du folgendermaßen lösen:

Beim Remastern kommt zwischendurch einmal der Hinweis, dass ein temporäres "/root"-Verzeichnis angelegt wurde, das Du vor dem Einbinden in die sfs-Datei noch anpassen kannst.
In dieses temporäre "/root"-Verzeichnis musst Du nun die Ordner ".mariner" und ".wine" aus dem "echten" /root-Verzeichnis hineinkopieren, bevor Du mit dem Remaster-Skript fortfährst.

Ich hoffe, es klappt.

Das mit dem /root-Ordner hat funktioniert! Das iso habe ich online gestellt. Ggf. kannst du ja darin auch Tango Installieren und es erneut remastern ?

Ist jemand in der Lage jusb (oder was ähnliches) einzubauen? So dass mariner das GPS am USB erkennt! (Dafür ist mein englisch/Können nicht ausreichend). Wichtig: das Java aus dem Mariner-Ordner muss genommen werden.

Komisch. hatte es mit /dev/ttyUSB0 getestet. Ging auch. Ist wohl doppelt da (oder als Link)
Habs aber geändert.

wenn jetzt noch opencpn fertig wird sind wir ziemlich fertig (etwas Schwund ist ja immer). Ich werd dann demnächst das neue iso hochladen...

Mein erstes Pet:

gnuais um AIS-Daten via Soundkarte zu loggen

Da es ein Konsolenprogramm ist muss das über die konsole gestartet werden (oder ein startscript) Das ist im Pet leider nicht enthalten. Dafür ein Menüeintrag (der natürlich nicht funzt).

Aber die .conf und die Logdateien werden mit angelegt.

Ich teste gerade tangogps.

In der Konsole gestartet kommt eine ellenlange meldung aus der ich gar nicht schlau werde.
Ich möchte diese hier nicht kürzen (nicht dass was wichtiges nachher fehlt). Da sich die ersten Teile jedoch wiederholen ist es doch soweit übersichtlich.

Hallo Michael,

genau das war auch immer bei mir die Fehlermeldung, wenn ich tangogps ohne die Entwickler-Umgebung (devx) laufen lassen habe. Ich vermute, dass dem Programm irgendeine library (bzw. ein Teil einer library) fehlt, bin aber nicht dahintergekommen, worum es sich dabei handelt. Vielleicht hat es ja damit zu tun, dass bei Puppy die libraries oft in einer "abgespeckten" Version eingebaut werden. Die Entwickler-Anteile der Libraries werden meist nicht installiert.

Leider habe ich auch keine Idee, wie man diesen Fehler weiter eingrenzen könnte ...

ich habe die devx mit drin. Allerdings im 412er Puppy.

Komisch ist das schon.
