Subject description: Servage Server - time to change hosting?

I was adding these links to the old tmxxine wakka wiki
http://tmxxine.com/m/index.php/Links
(not formatted yet)
when it collapsed (possibly into an alternive time line)
- that is using the software
not editing PHP

Servage are telling me I should contact the people who provided the script?
The script is reliable
The tmxxine site has been slow and is often offline.
I had to remove a link from my signature as people had a tendency to go there (heaven forbid) Razz and the system would go offline . . .

What is the best solution?
I have installed another wiki (mediawiki) but it will take ages to change to the new format
Plus I have to remember how to edit mediawiki (slightly different)

either that or upgrading wakka wiki and fiddling with SQL

What about Linux Tmxxine
m m m . . .
Frankly adding 3 SFS (Open Office, XaraLX and Wine for example) plus a few pets is something anyone can do (worth learning as a basis)
and that is really all Linux tmxxine is.

We have plenty of great puplets available too . . .

I have suddenly remembered why the Tmxxine website is potentially unstable . . .
It is the fault of some maniac (eh - me . . .)

The wikka wiki people advise against allowing javascript
(for security reasons)
It allowed me to add videos and other bits and bobs
- so I enabled it . . . Embarassed

Yes it was an ID 10T problem

Anyway here is a new mediawiki format that I have started
http://tmxxine.com/m/index.php/Main_Page

and some of ye olde Puppy pages eg
4.2.1 add ons.
http://tmxxine.com/ww/DingoAddons

Skype VOIP
http://tmxxine.com/ww/Skype

Wine
http://tmxxine.com/ww/Wine

Gizmo VOIP
http://tmxxine.com/ww/LinuxTmxxineGizmo

ID 10T = idiot

The article "A Beginner's Guide to Installing Puppy" that you have generously hosted for the past year is no longer available on your site. Will you be able to continue doing this?

I went through the SQL database of files
and have posted (in raw format - so needs editing)
your page here:
http://www.puppylinux.org/?q=wiki/miscellaneous/howtos/a-beginners-guide-installing-puppy

I think it best if it is hosted on the Puppy.org site
thanks for providing it - hope that is of some use Smile

Thanks. I will move the article elsewhere. Could you update your message here to indicate that you are no longer hosting it?

ASQ is our Quantum programming environment
things have moved on from 5 years ago
http://www.cyber-shaktipat.org/relax/asq3/
We now have the possibility of Vala and Genie for boot strapping

In simplest terms we create the complete program template
(which in effect is every single possibility of menu and program options)

then through an interaction with that program we work to remove the non required components

ASQ is reverse engineering at its finest
