Macpup foxy e17 comes with gimp , the new versions of e17 load things differently so I am not sure if the old mods like the ones buddapup uses will run on it ,I havent compiled new ones yet , I am working on it

Clocks are part of the theme you cant change it without changing the whole theme.

i could not figure out how to load and enable the flame module in foxy, so even though both you guys recommended it as more recent/stable i opted to work with serenity. i grabbed the shrooms.edj puppyluvr made and it would not run in either serenity or foxy. i did get the programs i wanted installed, running, and on the ibar. next project is changing the icons on the ibar for the new programs.

i am glad you told me this, i will stop trying to change the clock now!

it is a big jump from  to both a new OS and DE.

so thanks for all the legwork!

I still have my copy and run it occasionally. You really should continue with it especially now that E17 is stable. Thanks for a wonderful and fun Puppy.

:D Hello,
Wow, what can I say.. Nearly 5 years since I "Unleashed" this little dog..
There was actually an earlier "Buddapup 2.17" which was the first E-17 one.
But E-17 is Runtt21`s baby. His love for it inspires me! Progress there will come from him.. I could never come close to what he can do with it..
I personally love E-16 a lot. I am even working on an E-16 Pup ATM.. 8)
(Star Trek related, really geek-sheik... )

Thank you for trying my little Pup, I`m so glad you had fun with it... :D

:) Pelo,
This is E17, not the E16 I posted on Tahrpup in the group.
I'll try to post a link to my E16 sfs here or there.
Check the group! :D

There is a video buddapup on you tube, which gave me wish to install the desktop on one of the ugly puppies JWM with SVG icons
Penguins were living in Puppyland a long time ago.

:D Hello,
That was before "Dingo" 4.0.
That was 2.17, the first E-17 Puppy, and that video was created by, and the Inspiration for, Macpup.
Dingo 4.0 was my last E-17 Puppy.
I do still work with E-16, and there is a .pet of the latest in my repo, but its inaccessable atm..

Iso downloading from archives.org

#96 Post by Pelo »

Iso downloading from archives.org to dress a recent Puppy with desktop... poor Puppies 2016, they are fast food, would your brand new computers be so sad ? 64 bits, 4GB ram without any artistic or foolish desktop ?
168MB ? nowadays, that is fully acceptable. Sure ISO has to be reworked in my workshops in France. But my teams now are accustomed to do that..
Ah, parcel now received at home. I open it and will feed back.
pup_400.sfs is dated july 3rd, 2008, glorious Times of Puppy Linux, famous challenge to big ones, used without any change on hard disk. So speedy and full featured.

xwin enlightenment_start

#97 Post by Pelo »

xwin enlightenment_start; that is the formula i was looking for
My laptop is born in 2012, buddapup xorgwizard is ok 1600x900 xorg.
I come back , sur i will have to change firmware to connect wireless, but that should not stop my test progress. I hope. there is no reason.

#exec $CURRENTWM
#v2.11 GuestToo suggested this improvement...
which $CURRENTWM && exec $CURRENTWM
[ -x $CURRENTWM ] && exec $CURRENTWM
exec enlightenment_start

Does not start....

:? I do a try with virtual box, just to have an idea. Ok with Xvesa. Return to computer budda pup USB pendrive, xvesa, enlightenment runs..

:D Hello,
When Dingo first boots, a dialog should direct you how to start E17. IIRC, its:
xwin start_enlightenment
But its been years so..
Maybe more info still here:
http://www.buddapup.webs.com

#Edit.. Nope, frozen due to no traffic, after 7 years. go figure...

#Edit2. Lol, this one is still up!

Smoke on the water or Light my fire

a new one ! musher0. first post toutou 4.3.1 is ? ???
Go and build us new Puppies, dear puppy-makers. Let us taste rock and roll , dance Java, and even Maurice Chevalier. If we want to listen that, and further more re master them , who could prevent us to do as we like ?
I saw it on you tube, and i shall sing : go pretty Puppy, go !
"Light my fire" for this 'burning" version would fit better. The background moves, flames burn, get away, it's a satanic puppy,
French are too chaste and have to remain to pray in their convent. Here is Puppyluvr, Facebook and You tube. We 'run for the Devil !' Canadian are afraid by Justin Bieber... Musher0, keep with us !

Your Puppies wooof are sad, Messieurs, they will disappear from our memories, let us dress as we like these poor and numerous clones 'born to be alive'
