FileZilla 3.2.3.1 Special Edition 4series Gnutls

#1 Post by ttuuxxx »

Ok Guys I've seen some filezilla's on here using Dbus and thats about it, Well puppy doesn't need dbus and neither does filezilla. Also puppy uses Openssl which was good a few years back even in 4.2 it has the latest verson, but what I read today was shocking. Its way behind the times with security, Have a look
http://www.gnu.org/software/gnutls/comparison.html
So this version I went out of my way and compiled a lot of packages like

atk-1.26.0-i386
filezilla-3.2.3.1-i386
gnutls-2.6.4-i386
libgcrypt-1.4.4-i386
libgpg-error-1.7-i386
libidn-1.9-i386
libtasn1-1.8-i386
wxGTK-2.8.10-i386 -without sdl support, I might update it with

and a added bonus
multiget-1.2-i386 - figured since wxgtk is involved :)

I made 2 packages

6MB one stripped <-- most will need this one
http://www.puppylinux.asia/tpp/ttuuxxx/ ... ripped.pet

12MB one with dev's,doc, locales, etc 100% full <-- if you want to compile using those libs above
http://www.puppylinux.asia/tpp/ttuuxxx/ ... 1-full.pet

This is the securest Filezilla ever to hit puppy and is about double the size and probably the last time I'll update it for 4 series.
multiget is below

enjoy

It's Puppy Photo Artist's Workstation, based on 421 retro. I had just installed it for the first time and went looking for a filezilla pet, found it here. :)

Oh- I guess because I found it here. I was just happy to have found it , didn't think to look for the most recent version.

I've been confusing lots of people lately.

Actually guys I made this version different than the regular version you find on here, it uses gnutls, Say if you want to connect to ibiblio for uploads, regular filezilla doesn't work but this one does because of it having gnutls.
