Xorg does not work on my Desktop (Compaq Deskpro EP)

I've been meaning to post a couple of things for awhile, but needed time to gather info on my old but very usable computer. Attached are the details.

I have a Micron 700FGx (17" CRT built by Panasonic) attached to a Comaq Deskpro EP Series computer. Video Chipset: Intel(R) 82810-DC100 GMCH Graphics Controller Ver. 4.0

Xorg does not work at all. I get the same thing as Flash in his post on Dec. 29th. Quote: "the screen goes to multicolored vertical stripes and the computer will not respond to any input except the "off" button. "

I get the same look on the screen when my Knoppix and Suse 10 crashes on this computer, however this happens right from the start.
