I'm using the lastest version of puppy (1.0.7), I ran puppy hardware probe and found my Audigy 2 ZS is indeed detected. Sadly though, it isn't running. I booted up the terminal emulator and typed "modprobe -v emu10k1" as instructed, however to my dismay I was greeted with an error:
"/lib/modules/2.4.29/sound/oss/emu10k1/emu10k1.o.gz: init_module: No such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg
/lib/modules/2.4.29/sound/oss/emu10k1/emu10k1.o.gz: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.29/sound/oss/emu10k1/emu10k1.o.gz failed
# delete ac97_codec
# delete sound
# delete soundcore
/lib/modules/2.4.29/sound/oss/emu10k1/emu10k1.o.gz: insmod emu10k1 failed"
This bugs me because the hardware probe dectected properly from what the alsa compatability stated. Any ideas?
