I think the 3.0.2 pet above is really nice, haven't saved a copy and now it's missing. I'm missing it too, where has it gone...? |
It will be back, version 3.0.3 with some more .pets.

Hi Wolf,
Got it now - works like a charm in 4.1 - despite the long list of missing dep's... Nice!

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!! Thank you for all the .pet stuff! Without you, I would not be enjoying Firefox 3 with Puppy 4.1.2 on my EEE PC 901!
Most Linux distros wont let you update firefox, in firefox. Like Xandros, Ubuntu, Fedora, and etc. BUT WITH THIS .PET PACKAGE, you can update to Firefox 3.0.6 in the HELP menu in Firefox!
THANK YOU FOR THE LINKS! THANK YOU FOR THE .PET PACKAGES, THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING! You my friend, are awesome and I am so grateful!

How did you get the fonts to stay big?
And if you don't mind me asking, is there a way to reverse this setting?

none of these pets for firefox work for me.
the firefox 2 version within the puppy package manager works but it is an old version. (Bon Echo 2.0.07?!).
Are there any working pets for Puppy Linux 420?

I'm sorry my fault.
The solution is as follows:
1) direct softlink /root/my-applications/bin/firefox:
# ln -sf /opt/mozilla.org/lib/firefox-3.0.10/firefox /root/my-applications/bin/firefox
2) edit /opt/mozilla.org/lib/firefox-3.0.10/firefox file to set moz_libdir:
moz_libdir=/opt/mozilla.org/lib/firefox-3.0.10/
Firefox should be run now. And I'll update the pet file.
