Wireless Mouse still does not work.
I got it to partially work by selecting the usb option, it can move up and down, but not side to side.
My ps/2 port is broken, so I can't use an adapter, would there be any way I could configure my wireless, micro innovations mouse to work with linux?

I have the same problem. I just burned the latest live puppy and booted it. I got a chance to select USB and took it. Same symptoms: up-down only.
I rebooted to select ps2 and didn't get the chance!
I reloaded XP and rebooted puppy and still didn't get the chance to select mouse type.
How does puppy remember it has been booted before?

laptop?
I can't select USB mouse on my laptop. Could this be because the ps2 mousepad is always connected?
I hate the mousepad Make it go away
I'm using 1.0.7

Re: laptop?
Is there an option in the BIOS to disable the mousepad? I have a compaq laptop (Really old) and in the BIOS I can turn off the mouse pad.StraightBlades wrote:I can't select USB mouse on my laptop. Could this be because the ps2 mousepad is always connected?

Hi - new user here.
I have two different versions of a Microsoft wireless notebook mouse, including the new laser infrared hires that's been on the shelves for Christmas. Just ran Puppy 1.0.7, selected USB mouse (tried with or without scroll wheel, XVESA) and only get rapid up/down pointer action.
Tried the ps/2 option, of course the wireless doesn't work this way. I don't have an adapter to try usb to ps/2, but will try the mousepad under ps/2 setting.
Puppy is very cool --- Have a happy New Years!
