I cannot ignore glibc-solibs because Gslapt will not install any program that needs it.sidders wrote:You can ignore the "glibc-solibs". I have seen this message (i thought it was a dependency) when successfully using Gslapt. I have never found it to be "locked" though.
Somewhere on the forum, someone has explained that it is something to do with Slackware.

Hello,
From another thread:
From another thread:
@Try Puppy 3.01...Gslapt works better on it, and complains less...Quickly I found that Puppy does not have the right glibc-solibs..(2.5)
and it is locked out from Gslapt..(for good reason)..
So I hunted it all down, and installed it to Puppy...
DO NOT DO THIS....
Glibc is tightly integrated into Puppy, and messing with it.....well..
Severely broke Puppy.. RIP
Good thing I expected it to, and used a copy of my Puppy to test it...

Puppyluvr makes a good point that Puppy 3 series was built with slackware in mind. If you need/want Puppy 4, there is a special Gslapt for Puppy 4 on this page...i couldn't find it before or i would have posted it. It might be worth a try. If the one method doesn't work you can try the other.
You might find that the program works with one of these methods without installing glibc-solibs, idk...try running it and see what happens, otherwise, i'm out of ideas.
