I can mount samba shares from command line using
Code:
mount-FULL -t cifs //ipaddress/sharename /mnt/network -o username=guest,password=guest,iocharset=utf8,codepage=cp866

When I use pnethood the charset for samba shares is incorrect. Editing /etc/smb.conf did not help. Is there a way to specify charset for pnethood?

pnethood is quite new and I think this is one of the issues that hasn't been addressed yet Sad Will who makes pnethood is also taking a break from Puppy at the moment to catch up with the real world Smile

Unless you have other servers that those options won't work with, you can just edit /usr/local/apps/pnethood/func_mount to add the extra options to the mount command.

No problem; I wouldn't have expected anyone to be able to find that answer Smile
