ati 9299 driver

I installed the drivers for the 9200 and it worked, BUT somehow my xorg.conf was redone (dummy=me), and now is the std Xorg.conf.
Is there a way to just to adjust the program that calls the xorg file back to call
xorg2.conf.ATI_RADEON_9200S_T77_76DFX

have you tried backing up and deleting the xorg.conf and renaming yours (or symlinking it) to xorg.conf?
