local file

Code: Select all

killall mplayer
xwinwrap -g 140x110+1180+310 -ni -o 1 -a -s -st -sp -nf -ov -- mplayer -wid WID -quiet /root/whoisit.WMV &
sleep 0.2
rox -p /root/Choices/ROX-Filer/PuppyPin
So if error is not mplayer is it xwinwrap?

2 things:

- try higher sleep 1 or 2
- uninstall all codecs and re-install mplayer

Ok, already tried up to sleep 3, so I'll do the second one

TV works in 1.9-9 but:

Sigmund

your tv function don't work, cannot change channels..only cnn (default) ..line 30 /root/.pwidgets/plugins/Tv/functions:

. $APPDIR/locals/english
#. $APPDIR/func -apply
fixwidgets

Edit (again): No, I don't get what you were trying to do with . $APPDIR/func -apply

Some other things;

- when Tv is chosen first time, tv channel plugin will pop up, and if you choose it from there before it is on the widgets tree, it will pop a tv window on the top left side of the screen, better not to pop up the plugin IMHO

- Plugins - Cluster - run several profils -- profiles you meant

I agree with Micko, plugins popping up when press apply is annoying...also it's not right (like tv has not yet in position in widgets tree, also the same goes with clock skin chooser)

xonxlock ability to be moved around should be set to not moveable (in /root/.xonclockrc) by default

Trio, a point of note, I have never seen CNN on the Tv plugin. I think it is about licensing here in Australia, it is probably blocked by the ISP. It is a Foxtell channel, they are pay to watch, if I can see it on my comp, they lose!

Can you change default when we make pw2?

One more little thing... can you change Unknown channel to Multlingual or European or anything else you like? Just looks better

Cheers buddy, TY for TV help

I'm saving this one to CD, didn't do that since Puppy4! It works ok, even when I deleted mplayer to reinstall, hardly a trace left...

Yep, all working except CNN and NBC (similar issue to CNN I suspect), Nasa is iffy, sometimes it works, Surprised Setanta Sport always works because if you want on pay TV here you must pay extra.

Cheers and Thanks

I don't have much time now, so I must deal with all your input later.
Just a note: You can turn off the plugin-popup in preferences.
