How do I change the default browser?

#1 Post by chuck5620 »

TaxOC - you have put together an amazing Puppy! It does everything I want to do without complaint! Great job. This will be my main distro from now on.

In other Puppys I was able to right click the browser icon and change the name of the default browser. It's been awhile since I was using Puppy and now I can't seem to find where to make the change - which should be simple even for a noob like me :(

Thanks for your help.

Thanks ttuuxxx - change made and now working!

I was close - went to /usr/local/bin/defaultbrowser but since I am not a programmer I was too timid to try and change the code. This time I took the plunge and surprised myself :D

Where are you located?

BTW - your Firehydrant Puppy was one of the first Puppys I used regularly and I still keep it around as a rescue disk!

Hey Chuck
I'm located now in Sydney Australia, I met my wife online and moved to Australia. So I'm a Canaussian now Canadian/Australian, Took 5 years to become a Australian, very long process indeed. I like it here, But home is where the heart is, for me its Canada.
