is there puplet with up to date software such as Ooo3
Is there a puplet with Open office 3 and firefox 3? based on puppy linux 4.1.2? That could fit on a regular live CD?

Knowing you for only one post, I have no idea of your skill levels with Puppy.
I don't know if there is a Puppy available to your specs.
My reason for posting is to say how I've always done it. Install Barry's official Puppys, then install software. Sometimes from the vendor, sometimes alien packages, sometimes pet packages.
Regardless of what is prepackaged, what you want is very, very doable.
Maybe the newest Office is a lot better and I should try it. I'm using 2.2 :)

Works fine on my Puppy 4.12, installed to the HD.
The biggest reason I can see for upgrading is support for the new MS XML file formats introduced in Office 2007.
