Upcoming February 09 Fosdem Open Source Developers Event in Brussels
Website overloaded at the moment, however....
Are we going to have a Puppy [developer] presence there?
I'm afraid I don't fit the bill, but thought I'd suggest it

Too Bad I'm in Australia I would of like to go to the "Friday beer event
Foreign visitors usually arrive on the Friday night before the event. The Beer Event is an opportunity to gather and to sample the world-famous Belgian beers. This event usually occurs in a bar in the center of Brussels presenting a wide selection of said beers (Délirium Café in 2008, Le Roy d'Espagne the years before)."

I went to a Linux fest here in Vienna a few months back. Yes, they are interesting and something you tend to remember. A lot of the exhibitors and visitors had never heard of Puppy Linux.
It was dominated by Debian Ubuntu and Open Office. I think I was the only one there wearing a tie. All the rest were hippy types with long hair reaching to the floor. These types seem to be the creative ones.
If you're a Linux fan then you will find the stands interesting. I've got mixed feelings about the seminars though. They tend to be monotonous and discuss subjects of a very specialised nature and are also not very well presented. I fell asleep during one of them
I've been to Brussels on several occasions when I was living in the UK. A great place for a trip, but extremely expensive for food and drinks in pubs. If you go, take plenty of spending money with you.
Unfortunately, although I would have liked to attend, it's a bit too far from here to be feasible at the moment. Maybe I'll organise something here instead if there is sufficient interest. Ubuntu has a big community here that meets once a month. Would be good if Puppy had something similar. The Ubuntu one meets in a Pizza restaurant I think.

Life is too short to spend it in front of a computer

I would love to attend and run a stall, but currently our company profits couldnt afford to send me there!
However my passport is always ready, should someone send me the ferry fare, a few hundred should do it. As puppy is a "top ten" distro I do believe we should be represented.
