I wanted to know if there is a version of openoffice.org that works with Puppy Linux since it is free ( open source ) and easy to use but if there isn't any version of openoffice.org that works with Puppy Linux then what other open source office suit works with Puppy Linux that I can use?

G'day,

If you have a Frugal Pup installation, get an sfs download of whichever version of Open Office you like (I use 2.2 and 3 with various frugals). Save the OO sfs to your frugal's home directory. Add the desired OO sfs to your start-up via the Frugal Boot Manager (Menu>System>Boot Manager). On re-booting, the OO icons should appear on your desk-top.

If you have made a Full hard-drive Pup install, then the Open Office pet download is better as Open Office has to be installed permanently into the Pup partition.

So the right place would of been under, Advanced Topics then under Additional Software ( PUPs n' stuff )? And is that really you and your dog on that photo?

yes it's the muggins with Sky, and here she is, slightly younger:

as for the right section, I suppose "Additional Software" would be a good choice (and if in doubt, "Beginners" section is never wrong Very Happy )

AWWW!! she is so cute! Even cuter than my dog! What breed is she?

Also, I am having problems installing the latest version of java on Puppy Linux version 4.1.2 and if you have an answer to my question the post for that java problem is "JAVA PROBLEM HELP!!!!!" because I can't use Puppy without java because I need java for what I do like playing online games that needs java to run like RuneScape or FunOrb.
