I downloaded SeaMonkey add-ons. How to install them?

I downloaded SeaMonkey add-ons. How to install them?

When the site for SeaMonkey add-ons was to stop I saved the home.xpi and the cleardata.xpi in the apps folder. Now how can these be installed?
Step by step instructions please.

If I click on a .xpi all I ever get is

create new archive or add to an existing?
Retired from GM, a Etech on engine electronics
Like to play with older computers and TVs

If you run seamonkey, then select File->Open File..., then select the relevant .xpi file you want to install, it will be installed by seamonkey, after you answer a couple of questions...providing it's compatible with your seamonkey version.
