OK, Another fresh install, same result. Only '000_000.jpg' is in '~/.pwidgets/misc/scaledimages', '~/.pwidgets/pwidgets-exec' looks fine. The file '~/.pwidgets/scripts/slide' seems not to execute. It was working fine before I had to clean install '420alpha'. Shall try to track it down...., used your pet.

01micko and ttuuxxx,

I made the weather icons.
Would you export these files to glyphes?

download(.tar.gz)

Trio

Lets think about this. The 'func' file is not meant to execute widgets as you know. I'm starting to think it strange that it worked at all! Maybe, we can execute 'slide' somewhere else, I was thinking 'fixwidgets', which may work, but 'fixwidgets' is not meant to be that complex!
Or, maybe a separate script altogether for the slideshow.

I'll try some things, we are not done yet!!!!

Cheers

Mick

PS, I'm beginning to think 'fixwidgets' is the wrong place for the clockclick too! Think about it, if one chooses not to have the analog clock then the script just guesses where to click and clicks anyway! That could lead to problems!!!

Man, the more complex Pwidgets becomes, the more problems X10 arise!

Yes they will be exported as glyphs but it should work ok with our font exditor.

Thankyou very much jebaJQ8. Very nice work!

Micko,

No Mick, the click clock won't be executed if one does not choose analog clock :D please try, I put it that way...... :D even if it is in fixwidgets

also slide, if one doesn't choose slide....it won't appear.....I also hacked it that way, please try.... :D

There always be other ways to do it, and in what files they're going to be put in..but the current fix is fine...as far as I tested

And it's all thanks to the power of grep command!

Clockclickis fine, just getting carried away, it is still just a basic workaround. No probs.

Did you give some thought to my comment about the exec of 'slide' in 'func'? We have a conflict there which makes it unstable, you know, the creation of the dummy file happens twice, I think on some systems it works ok, on others it crashes.

really? I think it didn't happen to my computer....let's see....

edit: are the files named 000_000.jpg? and 01.jpg? Then you had your old dummy files there...

FYI: since the scale2pics wont be executed everytime with my slide fix, then when one chooses not to use slideshow, all the remaining images will still be in the scaledimages directory....

or, if you mean that the dummy file always re-created everytime the slideshow is applied froom GUI,I think that's what it suppossed to do, cat dude made it like that remember?

No, not what I mean, my dummy is fine, new one everywhere, 000_000.jpg. It worked before on this system before the 'pfix=ram', and I've done that three times since. Still fine on my other system. Remember, this is 4.2alpha, everything installed fine from the pet, I used yours, same anyway, no "" around image dir in /config/slideshow, 'pwidgets-exec' generates as expected, increased that sleep I added, slower machine, always starting from gui, then from terminal with 'fixwidgets' to debug, still no good. Hmmmm, see what I mean? What works fine on one system maynot on another. I can boot back to 4.1.2 and it is ok, on this machine! Settings all the same, even the sam pictures! (no silly 'clocksize' errors! )

We NEED feedback from others!!!!

Micko,

I think that it is not actually a problem after all, you use pfix=ram right?

Cat dude made the script to replace dummy file (recreated) everytime the slide show is applied from (GUI)...with the pfix=ram, the dummy is not really on disk..it's in the memory...
