Experienced this with the Exton version, and now with Wow's too. When using the universal installer to put this on a usb flash drive, you lose smp. The cmdline file ends with "no smp" on the usb installation.

I added an upgrade for Muppyquickmount (from the Muppyfiler sfs or Newyearspup).
It adds the option to mount all drives when the computer boots.
You must add a line to one of the startupfiles, the pet explains it.

You also can use it from the menu or Pcmanfm desktop (an icon), to mount all partitions if you attached an external drive.

To deactivate mounting drives when the computer starts, uncheck it in "desktop options - widgets and shadows" (I will rename this button to "tools, widgets and shadows" in future).
"Desktop options" is just available, if you use the "icewm sfs" or newyearspup.

The pet also can be used in other Puppys that have Muppyquickmount installed.
When the computer shuts down, all drives will be unmounted, either by Muppyquickmount or Puppy itself.

Hi MU, running your new years pup - great stuff but, flash issues in opera. Youtube and gmail are two sites that say I need to install or acivate flash. I tried flashplayer 10 pet with no success, tried to install from tar, said glibc was too old. Confused

I have also tried the new Opera 10 sfs. It works extremely well, very fast especially loading gmail and facebook. The installation however leaves 9.61 in place and doesn't install the original plugins in the new version. I would like to keep 10.0 but am still having issues with a frugal install ie. not sure where things should go.

Amazing the amount of work you and a few others put into what must be almost an obsession. Having said that do you think that another iso will be out soon which incorporates all the bug fixes? Smile

Myself, I start firefox (from the sfs wow mentioned), if I need to visit a site with flash. I had too many crashes in Opera with flash enabled, so I run Opera without flash. This is faster, too.

But you can symlink libflashplayer.so to /usr/lib/opera/plugins.
There are already symlinks, they point to:
/usr/local/Flash10/libflashplayer.so

I was using that in Muppy, but it is not included. So delete that one, and create a new.
This is easy in Muppyfiler.
In the left pane, navigate to:
/usr/lib/opera/plugins/
And in the right pane to:
/root/.mozilla/plugins/
Or to wherever flash was installed.
Select libflashplayer.so, and click on the button "symlink".

Concerning the flash-installer:
the glib error usually is just valid for the installer, but not for the plugin itself.
So you can copy the libflashplayer.so with the filemanager to where you need it.
Maybe other dependencies miss, I did not check that yet.
Wait... downloaded and extracted it... ran in the same folder:
ldd libflashplayer.so
Uh.. the dependency requirements increased compared to the betaversions...
It seems to depend on several mozilla-libs, you might have to install the seamonkey-1.18 sfs from my addons to please them.

yes, I plan to release an updated version in around 10 days.
In 2-3 flavours: mini (like now), midi(with wine, compiz etc.), maxi (midi+OpenOffice, Acrobat reader).

They will not contain new versions, just some fixes, and will for beginners be easier to use, than to combine everything from dozends of single sfs files.

First off, I've gotta say this is a great pupplet that you guys have going. Really impressed with it.

But I do have a issue that I can't figure out.
I can't get sound to work from my creative sb live. Since the wizard can't be run , I am sorta clueless on how to get it working.

It' very difficult to say what's missing. (Can be a lot of programs since Xine is "connected" to Gnome). Isn't Vlc good enough for you?

to check dependencies, type in a console:
ldd /usr/bin/xine

That will show some line like:
libxyz.so -> not found

Paste those lines here, then we can make a pet of the required libs.
Maybe the development.sfs is required for ldd, but I'm not certain.

Skipstone:
just tried while I have firefox and seamonkey installed, that should provide thiose libs.
But it crashes.
I know from former trials, that this is not easy to solve, so I have no quick solution.
