Korean Input Method?

#1 Post by slvent »

As a novice at Linux system, I cannot install any korean input method on this Puppy Linux System. Puppy is very good for me. I like it! Well, I tried to install Scim or Nabi for korean alphabet 'Hangul'. But, I failed. So, now, I use web site for instead.

http://aim.anj.kr/

And, I use this below site for japanese input method.

http://ajaxime.chasen.org/

Javascript or ajax codes... Is it possible to put these codes into Puppy Input System? Just my imagination...

Thank you. :D

:!: I installed korean ttf fonts into the ttf font folder and typed 'fc-cache -f' to register the font. So, I can see korean very well :D

Which version of Puppy are you using? I was able to install scim for Japanese input on Puppy 3.01, but was not able to install it in the 4 series of Puppy.

I don't know much about the eeepc. Can it boot from a cd or usb
stick? You could run Puppy 3.01 on a stick or directly from the cd and
not have to change the installation on the computer. You just need to
have a pupsave file where you can install the applications. The
pupsave file could be on the hard drive or on a usb stick. It depends
on how those mini computers work.

There are plenty of people on the site that use eeepcs. I'm sure
someone can give some insight on how to run Puppy without doing a
lot of configuring to the computer.
