looking for cli commands--[solved]

#1 Post by brymway »

In my never ending pursuit of "more", I have been using dwm with another distro I use when I'm not using Puppy. I don't know how to compile, but the directions on how to compile dwm are quite simple and straight forward.

The package comes from here:
http://www.suckless.org/dwm/

The directions I follow for compiling are from here:
http://www.xsnake.net/howto/dwm/dwm-eng.php
(please excuse the racy pictures)

I have been using it on another distro and last night, while checking out the new TorDingo derivative I decided to try it. I followed the directions above on snakes website and it compiled perfectly. I was using the TorPup live cd.

So then I booted into my Puppy 3.01 and tried it but there is no "make" nor is there a "clean" (?) command. The commands were in TorPuppy but there isn't any on my version. The version I am using is one I'm putting together starting with Fatfree3.01 and only putting what I want in it.

So I booted up the TorPup again, copied the "make" and "clean" commands over to my Pup but they didn't work. So I tried looking in my Vector live cd but the commands weren't there. So now I'm in my Backtrack2 cd and I can only find the make command, no clean command. I haven't booted into my pup yet, I'm browsing thru this live cd looking for suggestions that I like, so I don't know if the commands will work yet. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get these commands into my custom FatFree3.01?
