fuddel, yes.
There will be a Muppy-mini 0084c4 german.
The older versions 0084c with all extensions I also can upload, until weekend maybe, to my own server.
I have no information yet about the old 0084 files at kimsufi.com.
At moment I restore puppyfiles.ca.

It might change in the next days, as I have a lot of traffic again, so there is the risk, that the server will be put offline.
The Office.sfs includes OpenOffice 3 final and acrobat reader.
I also added development.sfs, goodies.sfs, games.sfs, KDE.sfs and Gnome.sfs.
Goodies.sfs includes XaraLx (Vectorgrafics), Songbird and Kraptor (Game).
Update:
The big Liveversions (with the older OpenOffice 3beta) now were uploaded, too.
Concerning the NEW 008.4c4 I have no "ok" yet to post the download-link.

a server problems, MU ?
Hi Muppy folks,
During next weeks I plan to put some folders of mine on a server (some 'shopping' needed ... and a LOT of spare time), so I'll check if I can do something about uploading at least some of Muppy files in order to give a tiny hand.
As MU hints the transportation is an issue more than d' hosting itself. So if people want Muppy (almost PIGGILY) for free - maybe they are ready for a slight more than a passive waiting for next "MU will do"s.
My 'case' here is simple:
--------------------------------
If I need, say, 3 Gigas and a certain transportation for myself and I already pay to a host monthly anyway - how many cents will an extra 1 Giga cost to me ? I assume the 'delta' is not that much, maybe even very cheap for me as a "already a client on host's server".
I even suggest some of Muppy fans who DO CARE - to try finding hosts SW near-by each one of U as a part of a voluntary effort to enlarge this transportation significantly. This can be done seperately from the Puppy community. This can enlarge Muppy accessibility to more users ... DON'T make this crummy face again you Linux snobs! "More users" mean in its big picture - better Muppies on next versions. A simple user's feedback has, in my POV, no less importance than shiney new codes or 'wowowow' new features nobody knows-of except for us.
Try to free MU to the pure luxury of development there he seems to be on his prime.
I think it is a tiny deed that an end-user with no ability to contribute codes to this project (such as me) must at least see if possible.
I'll try myself nearby or farby, but no big promises at this point.
P.S. Merry Christmas 2Y all.

Re: a server problems, MU ?
Well, if you've got a spot on a server for the/these file/files, I, for one, would be willing to Torrent said files for the sake of downloading.potchan wrote:Hi Muppy folks,...<snip>...uploading Muppy files...server space...</snip>
I may be alone in this, but I'm of a much stronger belief that Muppy, Puppy and Linux in general should be torrented instead of just leeched from some poor soul's hosting company. If I want to download Linux, I should be uploading to dozens of others at the same time.
Some folks may have UL/DL limits imposed by their Internet providers. I dunno. But this is the solution I'm offering. I'm currently hosting two Muppy "torrents": 008.4c full CD and 008.4c 2 Gb DVD.
I believe the links for both are in this thread.
Would that be of some service?

My sefish view over things (sorry)
Hi BobSongs, and thhank you and others for references.
All routs to get Muppy to work on our pieces of crap (PC) R legitimate.
However, my very selfish POV as a low-end user's voice suggest that a Windows-molsted user has enough difficulties and 'dirts' using torrents (unlike Linux users) and if I wish to move him/her to "my" side I think I must provide the old faster easier and cleaner way not via-mules and slow other "dodo"s on the way.
If you ever used Windows you probably know already how long it takes to every software or a browser or a torrent to upload. Everything is an obstacle there to the ordinary user.
Moreover, a user who can wait days for a Titanic movie to complete (as in real world some do) won't spare more than few minutes for an OS try. Nevertheless, it is possible even during a fast download "our" user can regret hundreds of times or adviced not to go-on during period of waiting in front of PC. Also every other thing can also divert user's attention. So, make Muppy downloadable and be a fact n PC as fast as possible. It is not same story as with small cute Puppy. Muppy is a BIG elephant in comparison.
The rest of story is up to the new OS usability and friendliness. Let's not make it harder to users at the beginning. Remember, as I've posted before, most of 'em don't know to handle BIOSes' basics as boot order.

Great fuddel
Great! a torrent for Muppy Mini & embriyo or replacements or .2fs .sfs sharing of up to 100-150M are OK n' quiet fast downloadable and therefore acceptable via torrent downloading.
The smallone cuts can satisfy most users, frankly.
Elephant-cuts of Muppy such as Live and DVD need direct download servers with enough brandwidth etc.
