What version of Puppy? If it's Puppy 3.01 or earlier you just need to click on each of the 3 packages you downloaded. If it's Puppy 4.x the PSI program won't work without also downloading and clicking on the dotpuphandler program - Google search for it is easier than forum search.

Hope that helps

You need at least 3 dependencies installed as well - Gtklist04MU.pup, getdir.pup and dotpuphandler.pet ... see the original post in this thread for the first two. The other is in PETget, I think.

Hope that helps

PETGET wiki entry and petget-4.1.2.pet package forum entry

#146 Post by WB7ODYFred »

Latest version of PETGET software for Dingo 4.1.2:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=38061=

WIki Entry for PetGet
http://www.puppylinux.org/wiki/archives ... ity/petget

I was using PuppyLinux 4.1.1 installed to a hard drive. I updated the script /usr/sbin/petget to correct a changed url for gatech.edu and added 5 more Mirror websites for Austria, Australia, South Africa, Portugal, Thailand.

GUI Button Sequence.
MENU ---> SYSTEM --> Puppy Package Manager

You may private mail me with your questions.
I don't know about the 3 other software packages listed above.

My Puppy Package Manager just worked to download and install software with a click on the selected Pet PackagePackage. Send me more details how it is working for your or IS NOT working for you in a PM.
In the future I will try to collect some screen shots to show and tell.

To test petget, one a RXVT terminal console window. At the "#" prompt type petget and watch the GTK shell script app come up. If it hangs you might get some message in the RXVT terminal console window.
