Pbackup_LOCALS-3.x

For new translators:
There are 2 files to translate:
- /usr/local/pbackup/locals/english
- /usr/share/doc/pbackup/help-english.html
These files are in the main Pbackup package. It is important that you install the latest version to see how it all works. If you rename the transtaled files from 'english' to your language name, the -configure' menu will auto-upgrade.

- Be aware that the syntax in helpfile is used to link text to wizard. It means that it is important to translate text, but not change the format or special characters. Do this in a text-editor, NOT in a html-editor.
- The word 'Backup' (in your language) must be in 'Backup recent', Full backup' and the tab 'Backup'. This for user to see the link beetween backup type and its settings.
- Write your translation with charset UTF-8. If you doesn't understand this, it's convertable. :-)

NLS changelog
3.1.2: Added LOC639
3.1.4: Added LOC356
3.1.5: Added LOC375

/root/.pbackup/locals/english.txt
/usr/share/doc/pbackup/help-english.txt
/usr/share/doc/pbackup/about-english.txt
Can anyone send me these files to translate them to Spanish?

Now i have time enought to do it.

I'll send you back translated!

Nice to see that you will translate.
The files are already in Puppy (2.17). or in the latest Pbackup pet-package here: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=10975

But, PLEASE WAIT. version 2.4.x is already old, and 3.0 is coming in not too long. News are backup to FTP-server, restore function, upgraded scheduling, wizard, chain several backups...

When 2.9 is arriving, test-periode starts, and it is ready for translation.

Spanish help file needs correction

#14 Post by don570 »

Your Spanish help file is written in English.
It needs fixing. The others are fine.

Sorry, were busy this week...

But here it is! :D

I have to make some minor changes on the locale file (droope's great work) just to keep the help text coherent with the locale file.

By the way, I think that this program is really good and 'follow symlink' do the remaining part to turn it into 'excellent'. This is a great backup tool.

@don570: Just by curiosity... Are you developing a Spanish puplet?

Regards. 8)

Spanish version of Lucid puppy 5.2 available

#19 Post by don570 »

Thanks for translation.

If you want to see what I'm up to go to
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 48&t=64177

I've been successful in translating the menus of Lucid Puppy 5.2.
If you have time , make a list of all the spelling errors you see
and send it to me thru the forum mail.

I don't speak Spanish unfortunately, so I could use some help.
