DCL Linux homepage hacked

#1 Post by dedalusjmmr »

Hi,

I was browsing through Brandon Cornell's site, where his fine derivative DCL is hosted, and discovered the site has been hacked.

Thanks for the link. I didn't know about that mirror with lots of derivatives, some of them gone from the main site.
But I just wanted to warn Brandon Cornell. It's fixed now.

Best,

Wow, I wasn't sure anyone noticed. I'm pretty sure it was the crappy CMSimple I was using that got me hacked. Anyways my sites up and running. http://brandoncornell.com/?page=dcl.html I had spent a short time with other distros while waiting for 4.1 with SMP, to see what I could learn from them. Once Puppy 4.1 is out I'll be back to puppy full time and I'll work on stuff for a new, DCL 2009 release.

Great. I tried a few distros for a friend's old machine, and DCL was the one that made it 'till today. Damn Small is not that user-friendly (if you're not a geek), and has no support for Portuguese accents through dead keys. And I don't like some options of the original Puppy (Semaonkey instead of FFox, no Flash pre-installed, etc.). Hope DCL 2009 keeps up the good work.

Thats what DCL is for. I'm not going to branch of or anything crazy, I just want to have a Puplet with choices that might not be for very old hardware, but what the average user wants.

BTW: 100 POSTS!!!
