Quodlibet

#1 Post by robwoj44 »

http://code.google.com/p/quodlibet/
I searched music player for puppy. To use amarok, rhythmbox, banshee it is really difficult. I saw pmusic but it is in developpment now maybe in the future it will be good. I saw wxmusik. It seems good but it is old now. I tried exaile but there is a problem. And finally I found quodlibet. I tried quodlibet 2.0 from the main page of quodlibet and it seems to work good. It is the first music player in puppy where I am able to see lyrics of the song. It is possible to listen live streaming of the radio.
I added the plugins for quodlibet and ex falso too:-)

The dependencies:

Quodlibet and Xfce

Quod Libet is available on most Linux distributions, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, and Windows as well, requiring only PyGObject, Python, and an OSS or ALSA compatible audio device. The Xfce desktop disk image provided by the Debian project installs Quod Libet as the default audio player.

Slacko 5.3.3 will not play music thanks to Quodlibet

sh-4.1# quodlibet
Initialisation du moteur audio (gstbe)
sh-4.1#
Quod Libet currently supports GStreamer and Xine as an audio backend. The default backend can be changed in ~/.quodlibet/config by setting the backend option (gstbe = GStreamer, xinebe = Xine, nullbe = no backend). Make sure Quod Libet isn’t running while you edit the file.
