Hi MU and a HUGE 'shapo' for constant achievements during some years now. The fact you're probably simply addicted Fellah' doesn't shade on this fact at all.

Yet I cannot find there something such-as Kino.pet for basic video editing. Nevertheless, I cannot compile any driver which matches any standard firewire card. Let's say - you're 'damn close to Eden' in video materia, but yet there is a yellow brick road ahead. Can I get a rapid remedy ? and if I need to compile something from source, cause your time is limited - which one(s) should there be ?

Kino is included in the Gnome-2.22.3.sfs.

An older dotpup from april 2007 also can be found here:

Hi MU an thanks for reply. When it comes - I'll check n' report.

Meanwhile, I have a short addon list regerding new msy_084.sfs to come:

1. A new version of tiny TestDisk & PhotoRec will help to make Muppy an
ultimate rescue / recovery solution as well as d' other advantages.

2. If i were a rich man (in knowledge, regarding this post) I would
try to seek an automatic updater in co-operation with the buit-in
remasterer, I thought of such as Conary we see at Foresight Linux.

Conary - apart from other package managers - is able to replace ONLY
what's needed in SW upgrade & dependencies, saving time and
making all version upgrade process a pure ease. Maybe next versions
will come to us faster than now.

This thought comes to me ever since I see the development of
a reliable Gnome sulution for Puppies. As you know - Foresight
considers itself as a gnome frontier. So mayby it's time for it.

3. In 083 I succeeded to put a 512 M swap on h'disk. It mounts every
uploas at autostart folder. My code there is:

----------------------------------

#!/bin/sh

exec swapon /mnt/home/Moshavat-Potchan/.swapfile1

-----------------------------------

Enough! of molesting innocent users with partitionning ... we must be
kinder in order to bring them to use Muppy in notime. By the way,
Not recommended to put a swap on any sdX flash (but ov-course I
did that too, and I'm still alive). Question: does 0% swap 99% of time
mean an excellent RAM ?

Regards, Timmo'
