Yes, and could you please have a box for "Puppy Projects", or at least instructions to people how to add one (that is, if they do a remaster).

Thanks for your efforts!

background image - initially chosen because I loath figuring out color schemes to work with the background so I switched background till it looked decent. This is no longer an issue with most versions of puppy since I switched the default background and text color (white on black versus black on white) -however 4.1a6 default.jpg does not play nice (I left the background black for this reason and it actually looked nice - but then again I am a minimalist) - that version is the most updated and is at:
http://pupweb.org/desktop/
I am adding as many puppy links as possible and will update with default background set now that I switched the color scheme.

I haven't decided on the best "add your puplet link" since there are forum threads, wikki articles and sites to actually upload them - leaning toward the wikki - maybe this icon should be called "puppy breeders" though?

the black on white version with default background is at http://www.openplatformeducation.org/homeb.html

Hiya Tech! Very Happy

YES!! I much prefer the second (html) version over the former (htm) anytime! Smile And I guess that's really odd too especially seeing where my Puppy 4.00 and Parsix are both running the "Nokoda-Midnight" theme engine (now) which turns regular onboard app's backgrounds, like ROX-Filer, EmelFM2, Leafpad, et al, a nice lite-black! Very Happy (And that really IS "Lite-Black" and not "grey" despite my colourblindness. hehe!)

This second one, to me anyway, looks great 'nuff "as-is" Tech that I could even run it as a browser's homepage totally without a background pic.

Hmm... Gives me an idea... Wink

Great work mate!

Amicalement/Cheers!

EDIT #1: DUH! Rolling Eyes Do I feel like I nutcase Tech! I just realised something!---IF I'd test these pages out on my Puppy partition I'd be MUCH better off as then I'd see the backgrounds, images, yada, yada... I feel like such an OAF! Embarassed Beam me up Scotty!

Hi technosaurus,

You can use this link to search the puppylinux.ca server

http://www.puppylinux.ca/Website/node/7

This will not only search my server but a future mirror which will be very fast.

Best,
Eric

new "testing" page for those withe decent connection speeds is at
http://www.openplatformeducation.org/pupweb.html

This will replace the original version if no major issues are reported

I have updated to the latest version with better? graphics and some updated links

- since there have been so many requests for search pages, I will be building a separate page with the search code for all of them embedded into the page - to include all previous requests and the generic searches. I will experiment with adding them to the page directly as well.

Hi technosaurus

good job

minor glitch:

app suites/google apps / zoho

hovering over google apps & zoho cause extra tail to appear on rhs

typo in favourites: 'beyound this line......' remove u

Can you add Fastmail?

Will you be adding earlier versions to the bottom box? i.e. 3.01 & 2 series?

Other than that I would get used to clicking the bottom row icon links to open new tab, but is this possible, instead of it replacing this window/using back button?

else - good stuff Very Happy

WOW Tech! That's awesome! Now that one (linked above) can be bookmarked and used by me regardless the distro that I'm in! Mr. Green

Out of curiosity: Are you planning on leaving this at that link on a more or less permanent basis? Or are you just leaving it there on a test basis only? I ask because it would make a nice start page for my browsers. I've already done so for a couple in Puppy by running the page from a subdirectory, see? Yet this way I could across my 4 distros. Would be nice in case others would like doing so as well. Smile I hope they will!

Either way Tech, this is just fabulous work on your behalf. It really is! You might want to let Lobster, or WhoDo, know that you're doing this as well and maybe they could supply a link to it from the Puppy website and from the Wiki? Just an idea anyway.

Amicalement/Cheers!

fastmail.fm added - I didn't get a url - hope this was the right one

typo corrected

fixed tag on Zoho apps

puppy 2 & 3 - this comes directly from one of the help pages included in Dingo (as does the program list)- if versions 2 & 3 have them as well then sure

Current work - ETA this weekend:

Presentation apps to menu and as icon...

Flowchart Icon...

RSS Reader Icon...

Embed additional search boxes (previously requested as links, but why click twice when once will do?)

I've PM's technosaurus about an FTP account. If he uses it, it will have the URL
http://pupweb.org/desktop

My suggestion:

The link to puplets (breeders) tries to add a puplet but gets an error. Maybe use this URL instead, and in that page, an "add your puplet" URL should be provided (technosaurus or another member can do this).

Gotcha - I moved around the icons so that the suites are on the left - It is a submenu for individual apps - it should now pop out to the right.

I also added several categories and finally figured out how to stretch the background.

That should get rid of the "tail" - must be a bulldog puppy

Plan to move to http://pupweb.org/desktop this weekend if all goes well.

Okie, now I'm a person with only a 50% functional brain here (true---that's not one of my more infamous jokes), and so I tend to get very easily confused. Embarassed Sorry about that! I take it what you're saying then Techno is that the webpage itself, the one we could use as a homepage/jumping off page, will be at that new URL?

Again, I apologise for bugging you as I realise this drags you away from the more important items which need doing. Sad

Thank you Kind Sir!---and still what marvelous work you've achieved here! Beautiful!! Very Happy

Amicalement,
