muppy embryo addons

#1 Post by gronos04 »

I would like to run virtual machines on embryo and have unsuccessfully tried to add the muppy development sfs. Any clues?

hi gronos04!

embryo shall be
(1) your VM-host
or
(2) basic VM-guest-platform
?

if (1) => check: vuppy - puppy with SUN vBOX included

I have not tried yet using additional sfs files with embryo.
It should work in theory, if it does not, it is a bug.

I usually use the buildsystem for embryo/server to create customized versions of embryo.
Server is nothing else than such a customized embryo.

You add folders with programs to the build-tree (e.g. while you run a full Muppy, where you can compile new programs), and then run the buildscript to generate your custom embryo.

So you would add the VM to the buildtree, run the buildscript, and have an embryo with VM included.

thanks Mark, I have found the development0083e.tgz and have added this manually.
I will try this other approach. Your Muppy server derivatives are excellent . Great work.
