Hi,
A friend of mine uses puppy linux and says it performs well on older slower PCs that Windows XP struggles with, so I decided to use it on my Dell C640 Latitude laptop that has a built-in wireless (Dell Truemobile 1150). The install was easy and it detected my wireless AP, but it said the orionco configuration does not support WPA, so as a test I dropped my AP into WEP mode. I put the WEP key in and then it tried to assign itself an IP address from the AP's DHCP server, but failed.
So my question is, can I get WPA working and what steps do I need to take. My second option is to use WEP on a temporary basis, but I need help in resolving my DHCP issue.
Many thanks,
Pacerhill
