Intel 3945abg wireless driver woes

#1 Post by evnog101 »

hello, I'm rather new to Linux in general so sorry if I sound noobish. I run a puppy live CD off my HP laptop, with an Intel 3945ABG wireless card. I have activated the included driver for 3945 under network setup, yet all puppy can detect is my wired network adapter. Ideas?

Hi.
It is the same to me.
puppy does not detect the Intel Pro Wireless 3945ABG network card.

I tried to load the module ipw3945 but the system still does not detect the card.
The wlan is definitily activated (blue light).

Can someone help?

aragon told me the solution in the german part of this forum:

1. there is a program caled ipw3945d in /sbin/
2. just run this program
3. if it works edit the
/etc/rc.d/rc.local
and insert
ipw3945d &

bye and thank you aragon...
