Pfilesearch 1.34 Subject description: 22. Nov 2012 |
|
pFilesearch
pFilesearch lets you search for files with advanced options. It can either act as astand alone file finder or as a backend (-b) for other guis. Files that matches given options are then written to the textfile $HOME/.pfilesearch/hits. If using parameter -c [STRING], gui will not be shown. It will then only use options in config file for the filesearch.
Pfilesearch are used by pFfind, pBurn, pMusic and Picker

Dude. When you say "Possible to use pfilesearch as frontend", what exactly do you mean?

It means that the code is ready to be used as a standalone program. To prevent crashing apps that uses Pfilesearch as its search engine, I have to wait until all these are upgraded to fulfill this approach. At the moment both Pfind and Picker would trouble if this was implemented now.

Bug: files that have two spaces in a row in their name or path are displayed correctly in the search results window, but if you click on them it doesn't work because it tries to open them with only one space instead of two.
