flash mit 333Mhz CPU: kann das überhaupt gehen

#1 Post by champpain »

Hallo,

I don't think Flash supports Hardware Rendering.

With a 900Mhz CPU I get about 34-35% usage when watching the following youtube minimized vs. 65-75% usage when watching maximized. I have OpenGL going, but no DRI. Although, as I mentioned, I'm pretty sure Flash is all processor based.

Hi.
I just tried the link and what i liked what i could hear (nice song), but the cpu went to 100% in normal mode (i guess this means "minimalized").

So i think flash means a limit for this system.
It is a pity...

http://www.macromedia.com/support/docum ... elp01.html

Required for accelleration:
So we must wait, if one of the next releases will support accelleration for Linux.
Or maybe use "wine"?
The setup for Internet Explorer in Muppy offers Flash-installation.
But I don't have it installed on my current system.

Hi.
My compaq armada 1750 (why is my signature missing...?) has an old Fire GL graphic card.
There won´t be a chance for DirectX9, but good to know.

I'm wrong again.

Great read here:

the Adobe Flash Player is GPU accelerated, even on Linux. However, this comes with some qualifications.

Starting in version 9.0.115.0, the Flash Player was able to display fullscreen content with GPU assistance. This is done via OpenGL facilities.
the comments get even better.
