Aitch,
The question was asked because I was thinking of purchasing one as the ML-2010 has been superseded. The ML-2510 mentioned in another post sounds very nice but I cannot seem to locate them here in Oz.
As a matter of interest I followed your link and was gob-smacked at the size of the files: 27MB and about 67MB respectively! What exactly is the second file i.e. not the printer driver, and what does it do?
I hope they come on the CD.

I've no idea, other than earn some poor programmers a few bob27MB and about 67MB respectively!.....
.....and what does it do?
I mean poor in the sense of bad rather than no money!
Let them learn Xbasic!
Or Assembler?
There seems to be a mentality of, - "well, there's loadsa ram....."

Well after a lot of head scratching and perserverance I can say that this printer works in 3.01. So far I have only printed the test page and two document files.
My method was to use the provided CD which seemed to only load the drivers to the /usr/share/cups/model directory.
Based on the suggestion of muggins in the Samsung ML2010 printer post I then used the CUPS Printer Wizard to actually install the driver.
Thank you muggins.
