I'm a complete Linux newbie
I have installed 15 or so distro's, in the last 2 weeks ,I loved Puppy 3 so decided Puppy 4 was the only way forward.
My (DWL G510 ) DLink PCI card worked flawlessly in Puppy 3
When I try to configure it with 4 the computer freezes CTRL ALT DEL will not re-boot I have to power down.
What's different?
Which config files are used and can I edit these manually, if so can somebody point me in the right direction for the settings

The trouble with being a newb is there are usually many other posts covering the problem you have. You can read page after page and not be sure what you are reading is relevant.
So you post a question in the hope that at least one knowledgeable person would take the time to either explain how to solve the issue or at least direct you to a post that may enlighten you as to how to solve it yourself.
I solved my problem by installing SAM Linux ...it just WORKS
