I dont know why you are not getting purply.
I have sent him to you twice.
Maybe you should check with Gordon Brown.. he may have gone to the wrong PM.
Or maybe the netcops are trying to discover if there is a hidden message in it.
Anyway, here it is again.

@CatDude & koolie
CatDude - Excellent Dude!
Koolie - I did get him, Twice!
Thanks for trying - but if you look below you'll see the difference
He must be a relative of Jesus, as he keeps resurrecting after burial
Not to worry, Purtwin likes it with me, and has moved in, so he's going to be really happy with his baby, PurtwinJunior, so will Mummy & Dippydog
There, now the whole family is on one page he he move over Addams family
Thanks, Aitch
Apologies to John Biles for the aside
Get TeenPuP2008!!!

@ john biles,
Can you package the kde virtual keyboard for teenpup?
Is one available for this?
Thanks for your time.

Coexistence with other Puppies Subject description: How do I move the Teenpup files to their own folder? |
|
Hi,
first of all, John, I think you did a splendid job with Teenpup2008. Looks great and there's a whole bunch of great programs; love it!
Now, sorry for being stupid, but even after a few hours of research I can't figure out how I can move the files from a frugal install into their own folder. I installed both DCL and wNOP, and they let me choose an installation folder, but not Teenpup.
So my question (hopefully not misplaced in this thread) is: Which files can/need I move to the Teenpup folder, which have to stay in the / of the hd, and what do I need to write into the menu.lst (unfortunately, Teenpup's universal installer didn't tell me this, either)?

Hello cat,
As I normally only have one version of Puppy/TEENpup on any one partition at a time, I don't have the answers you need to run more than one version of Puppy/TEENpup in any one partition.
Can anyone who has the answers please help cat.

Ok, after some more digging I got my frugal install working using this post:
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=182477&search_id=1694982771#182477
Only works if I put all files in hdaX/ , but it'll do for now. Now if I can just figure out how to rename the savefile in a way that teenpup knows which is his I'm already pretty happy with it. Perhaps that, too, is hidden somewhere in the endless depths of this forum...
Well, back to digging

an unusual approach cat, most times, to have more than one os on a disk you must put them all in seperate partitions and use a boot manager(like grub or an ibm boot manager) these must also have thier own partition, but you seem to have solved it on your own, so i'll just slip back into the shadows.

Ah, well, since it just worked with the other two puppies I installed I assumed it to be kind of standard procedure...
But I think I'll start a different thread for this "feature" in general, as I'm curious now (hope it doesn't get me killed )

Great job with this distro!
I'm running it as a LiveCD version. I was even able to follow your instructions and download Opera and install it as an alternative browser.
I look forward to using TEENpup 2008 and getting my hands "dirty" with all the applications you've installed.
Thanks!

Should be the pinwand menu entry. |
Hey, thanks!
That's been bugging me all night. Now I can "single-click" as I'm used to.

When using the virtual desktops, I can switch back and forth with the mouse.
Is there a keyboard shortcut that allows me to switch back and forth as well?
Thanks!

Well, I discovered how to do this. I'm sure everyone else knows, but in case anyone else had the same question, you can switch between virtual desktops by pressing Ctrl/Alt/Number, where the Number represents the virtual desktop you want to switch to. You can also switch to the next virtual desktop to the right by pressing Ctrl/Alt/right arrow and the next virtual desktop to the left by pressing Ctrl/Alt/left arrow.

Wallpaper |
|
Well, my first post. I'm not native english speaker, so I hope you understand if I write something wrong.
Teenpup2008.... awesome... wonderfull... Fast, simple, efficient. complete, light. I have tried Slackware, Zenwalk, VectorLinux, DCL and wNOP before. Teenpup 2008 is the best I'd tried...
Now my questions:
1. I wish a different wallpaper in each desktop. Is this possible? If it, how?
2. I like programming, mostly in c, html, java, php. I'm thinking install eclipse sdk in Teenpup. How or where I get all libraries to compile and run almost anything whithout problems? Zenwalk is really good for that job.
3. What is the meaning of the colors in cpu load and network interface icons in the taskbar?
Thanks for all. Great job all you do, great forum.
