Icewm 1.2.20 Full for Puppy 1.0.1

edit: 24/08/2006 attachment deleted to save space

Full means i compiled in just about everything except xinerama support

this a a basic package (just about identical to my basic Unleashed package)

this will install to /root/.icewm and /root/my-applications/bin
it does not install to /usr

there is a readme.txt file in /root/.icewm

if you already have a /root/.icewm dir, it should be backed up to /root/.icewm-101

i included just a few small and light themes

if you have MtPaint 0.95, you should be able to take a screenshot by pressing the PrintScrn key ... or ctrl+alt+P

if you have problems, you should be able to kill X by pressing ctrl+alt+backspace, then run fvwm95 by typing:
startx fvwm95

Icewm is just great!! XP theme included :)

Hi, just googled for some icewm themes :)

I found a great looking XP like theme (hope we don't get a letter from Bill now :) )
The problem is the size of about 800KB :(

You install it after you have installed the icewm*.pup file:

(I assume you downloaded the/any theme to /root )

1.)
cd /root/.icewm/themes

2.)
tar zxvf $HOME/Berry*gz

3.)
Now the theme should be displayed under the themes entry...

Would be nice to have some themes with a screen copy on the wiki..?

Have fun,

PS

I get to love icewm!!

Hi. found 2 great looking themes for icewm:

* armitageIII
* deedlit

both app. <200KB because of the wallpaper. Without it only a couples of KB!

(google for them...)

Since Wallpaper are not included (copyright?)

1.)
download theme.tgz to $HOME (/root)

2.)
cd /root/.icewm/themes

3.)
tar zxvf $HOME/theme.tgz

4.)
cd <themedir>
vi default.theme
#put in the folling lines with vi i
DesktopBackgroundImage="<imagename.jpg>"
DesktopBackgroundCenter=0
DesktopBackgroundScaled=1

Abby IceWM Theme

#7 Post by dvw86 »

This is a theme that I came up with by stealing bits and pieces from other themes. Did a little Gimping too as well for some of it. I call it Abby (the name of the dog in my avatar). Screen shot. Desktop icons not included.

simple-tri IceWM theme

it has 3 colors (see the taskbar in the screenshot)

yellow - active window and active menu item
seagreen - normal window (not minimized) and desktop
lightgreen - minimized window and taskbar

IceWM tip:

if you don't like Alt+Tab switching to minimized windows you can change the line #QuickSwitchToMinimized=1 to QuickSwitchToMinimized=0 in the preferences file :wink:

If you want to use the themes from MU icewm ultra without the extras, I have zipped them up and mirrored them here

just unzip to /root/.icewm
