Hi magerlab!
Did you find Midori compiled for Slackware in some Slackware repository? Or did you compile that for Puppy yourself?
I've been interested in that browser for awhile now (one of the few I don't have) but all they have on the homepage is the source tarball and since I don't compile... and I've never seen it in any of the Slackware nor Debian repos that I'm connected to...
Any info that you may have magerlab would be greatly appreciated.
Amicalement,

Doesn't seem to work in Puppy 4. I get an error message:
Error while loading shared libraries: libgpg-error.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

hi mjg,
I have successfully installed gSlapt 0.3.19* (+ unDEB + unRPM) into puppy 4.0. I just placed these asked libraries to the ~/my-applications/lib/
I am now very happy with my Dingo 4 with a gSlapt!
gslapt here
http://dokupuppy.90megs.com/programs/gslapt/gslapt-0.3.19a.pet
libgpg-error.so.0.2.1 is here (rename it to libgpg-error.so.0)
http://www.puppylinux.ca/ttuuxxx/Libs/libgpg-error.so.0.2.1
libtermcap.so.2.0.8 is here (again rename this to libtermcap.so.2)
http://www.puppylinux.ca/ttuuxxx/Libs/libtermcap.so.2.0.8
Hope this will help you. Good luck.

Hmm... that's fairly interesting Joey. I tried downloading from the link as well those last two files and neither am I able to obtain them---and yet when I go straight to Ttuuxxx's repo there---voila! Those two libfiles are present and accounted for. Very curious, eh? Not only that Joey, but I didn't have any problem downloading them directly from there as long as I "right-clicked/save file as..."
So that may be what you'll have to do is visit his repo and grab them that way? This is what I've always done at any rate.
I hope this helped? Take care Joey and it's good to see you around here! You've been missed fella! (You probably don't remember me but I do you from the early Grafpup 1.0.4 days. )
Amicalement/Cheers!

I figured out what was wrong on my end. We have a router that has a built in content filter. We're filtering out porn, so we don't accidentally stumble across those sites. Well, the way the filter on the router works is I type in certain things for it to look for in URLs, or a whole URL. Well, I blocked anything with "xxx" in the URL. That caused me not to get to anything in the ttuuxxx folder.
Haha, who knew the libraries were porn?

Thats funny, the only reason why my nic has "xxx" in it was because of names on the freenode chat, all the other ways of spelling "tux" were taken, I tried tux, ttuuxx, tuxx, ttuuxx, and finally ttuuxxx worked so I stuck with it, never crossed my mind that my folders could be mistaken as porn because of the 3 x's. Well probably way too late now to change my nic again. Glad you figured it out, I'll be able to help others who might have the same problem in the future.

haha, well it wasn't by default. I had purposely blocked xxx, but didn't think it would cause problems.

Umm... yeah, okie Joey, that works in your case and I can easily see that one.
But what about in MY case where I'm not working on a router, have no filtering whatsoever, no hostfile, no blockages of any sort---and I own my own pipeline via a portal provider (who leaves it to me to control what I want, or what I wanted my clients to view at that time when I had clients)? I can't download them either from the links provided in the page.
@Ttuuxxx: See what I mean? I have the same problems as Joey here. When he provided the direct links above I was taken to a 404 I believe it was. And yet... when I dropped the specific libfile and followed the URL (which matches my bookmark for your site) I went fine. Imagine my surprise when said libfile was actually there!
I never noticed this until Joey raised the question just now Ttuuxxx for the reason I've always followed my bookmark and selected out of the list, see? (By the way: I sure DO appreciate your site more than you can ever realise! Thank you!) Hence this has never come to my attention until now and I wonder how many others have run into this as well and assumed them "dead links" as we so often do?
Interesting food for thought perhaps?
@Joey: I read in another section how you'd been off exploring Ubuntu for awhile and then had decided to come back. A man of your many talents hopefully you've brought back from there oodles of ideas that will likely spur on developement! I can't wait to see what you'll achieve! Again: Welcome back our friend!
Amicalement/Cheers!
